Child Therapy in San Antonio & Across Texas
Helping Your Child Feel Safe, Seen, And UNDERSTOOD
Kids don't always have the words for what they're feeling. Our dedicated child therapist helps children ages 5 and up work through big feelings, hard changes, and tough experiences, so your whole family can breathe a little easier

Does Any Of This Sound Familiar?
These are the kinds of things parents often share with us before their first session.

"My child melts down over the smallest things, and I don't know how to help anymore."

"She used to love school. Now she has a stomachache every single morning."

"Since everything changed at home, he's gotten so quiet. He won't talk to me about it."

"I feel like I've tried everything. I just want my kid to feel like themselves again."
Behavior is how kids talk
When a child is struggling, it usually shows up sideways: tantrums, trouble sleeping, pulling away, acting out at school. It's not that they're being "bad." It's that something feels too big to handle on their own, and they don't have the words for it yet.
Therapy gives your child a safe, playful space to figure out what's going on inside and learn real ways to cope. And it gives you, the parent, support and a clearer path forward. You don't have to figure this out alone.

Meet Our Child Specialist
Ynollah Aguilera, LPC, NCC
Hi, my name is Ynollah Aguilera. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor at Internal Insights Therapy. I have experience working with an extensive age range of individuals, with a focus on working with kids ages 5 and up, along with their families.
I am passionate about working with children and teenagers because they are honest, creative, and incredibly resilient with the proper support. As a therapist, some of the most meaningful aspects of working with youth are the opportunity to aid their emotional development early in life. Helping children identify emotions, learn healthy coping strategies, and build self-confidence can lay a strong foundation for their future well-being.
I tailor sessions to meet each child’s unique needs, developmental level, and therapeutic goals.
Through play therapy interventions, art, and movement, children are encouraged to explore their experiences in a safe and supportive environment. I closely collaborate with families along the way to increase understanding of emotional and behavioral challenges in an effort to support positive change. I strongly believe kids thrive when the adults in their lives are being supported as well.

I often help children with navigating strong emotions, behavioral difficulties, family changes, and challenges at school or with peers.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my two english bulldogs, trying restaurants with my husband, and being in the company of my family.
If your child is struggling, you do not have to figure it out alone. I would love to help!
